the 5th gen ebonite feeder was based on improving/modifying the 4th gen ebonite feed design.
although, it ended up becoming a completely different feeder from 4th gen.
the 4th gen ebonite feeder had good ink spurt resistance.
so i just assumed 5th gen will be at least similar.
however, just assuming something works becuase it is a predecessor of previous gen doesn't guarantee its performance.
so i did a 2 minute ink spurt resistance test.
the result was pretty good, i'd say it's even better than 4th gen.
i think some structural changes, as well as overall improvement of precision led to more tight-sealed ebonite feeder.
