Hello, this is Fountain Pen Research.
This is research on solid ebonite penrest and nib removal tool.
The previously developed pen rest was a cast-type using composite resin.
This is the so-called "baguette" pen rest that many users are fond of.
This time, I decided to make it with solid ebonite material.
I plan to make a variety of shape types,
1. Round
2. Square
3. Diamond shape
There are two types of length:
1. single slot
2. tripple slots
Also, I am planning to develop easy nib remover tool.
The material is PEEK.
It has a matching slope design that fits the end of the grip section,
also, it is specially designed so that it won't damage the end of the feeder.
After inserting it into the grip section,
the nib and feed can be pushed out of the grip section, by tapping the round part on hard surface (wood surface recommended).
There is a lot of research going on right now, so I can't proceed right away.
but I will prepare steadily from now on.
