In-House Eureka Platinum (PT) 14K / 18K nib development initiated.
Through R&D I've acquired technologies / know-hows to develop stable PT alloys.
I will do a complete in-house development, including melting and alloying the base material (platinum).
since Platinum (PT) nibs are more difficult to develop than Gold (AU) nibs (1700~2000C is required to create stable PT alloys), successful development of PT nib means, AU nibs will be developed as well.
Previously 4th gen nibs were developed, with some limitations that hampered stable production.
I had to stop the nib production and move on with factory development, next gen foutain pen chasis / feeder production, next gen Super Urushi development, etc.
Now that most of the planned development has been completed, I will execute the next plan while simultaneously carrying out production.
with the 5th gen nib, I am planning to eliminate the previous limitations.
I am hoping this will enable stable production, and yield high quality nibs.
the completion time frame is indefinite (may take years, I do not know for certain).
the important thing is I haven't given up.
Internally, nib related research was slowly but steadily carried out.
However, as I am currently working on production of Urushi / Raden pens,
relatively limited time will be spent into in-house nib research.
For the 5th gen, I have been slowly but steadily mustering the capacity to develop the required machineries / tools / etc. (*I will be able to machine my own nib moulds, etc.)
So I will have nearly complete control over the entire production process.
Also, I have the previous equipments / technologies / know-hows, that will carry onto 5th gen.
That may reduce some of the required R&D resources & time.
